Paul Oppermann

Co – Founder
Paul is a Performance Coach and Sports Therapist and a founder of the Dublin Sports Clinic. He set up DSC with his wife Fiona in 2015. As an Olympic Athlete with years of experience of both personal injuries and working with high performance athletes and Teams, he strived to create a training hub with a unique offering encompassing everyday and high performance training, injury management, rehab and physical wellbeing.
Paul has a Master’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Management from UCD. As a Track Athlete he won many national titles and represented Ireland at the highest level. He has worked as speed coach to some of the countries top Athletes and Teams. Coaching efficient movement and developing overall functional strength are skills that Paul believes are critical elements to injury prevention and achieving both health and performance goals, His focus on educating his clients with practical advice and self – management skills is key in his successful approach to training and treatment.
Paul is currently working with the Dublin Senior Ladies Football team. He has previously worked with Dublin Senior and U16 Football teams, Scottish Rugby as well as numerous International Athletes at European and world level.
He features regularly as a Fitness Expert on Newstalk and Today Fm and has worked on campaigns with Sport Ireland. Outside of his athletics career, he also played Rugby at both schools and club level and still enjoys playing with St Mary’s College RFC. He has the loudest voice in DSC and an ability to talk to match!
